New Jersey Assembly passes gay nuptials despite veto: TRENTON, New Jersey (Reuters) - The New Jersey Assembly passed legislation legalizing same-sex marriage on Thursday, sending the measure to Republican Gov. Chris Christie, a possible vice-presidential candidate who has promised a veto.
