Defense Sec'y. Robert Gates to receive Liberty Medal: "Outgoing Defense Secretary Robert Gates will receive the 2011 Liberty Medal at the National Constitution Center in September.
David Eisner, president and chief executive officer of the National Constitution Center, said yesterday that Gates was being honored for his ability to transcend partisanship and broaden the expanse of freedom."
